Canned Startup Packages: You Can Easily Identify Them

Avoid business startup packages! My friend Jeff had tried three different business creation "systems" or turn-key packages over the past few months that had initially sounded like they were exactly the solution he needed to profit from his own online business idea.

But for various reasons, none of the systems had given him even one dollar of revenue to date.

Jeff just couldn't understand why he had failed, and why his purchases hadn't produced the income he was counting on.

With slight variations, these are the common themes of the systems Jeff had purchased:

In his own words, he told me each one had promised to:

  • show you exactly how and what to do
  • provide a template and all the add-ons for a web site
  • give you the unique products to resell
  • assure you a huge and profitable market
  • never require more than a few hours of work weekly
  • give you all the online support you would need
  • be there if you ever wanted your money back
  • and guarantee an awesome six-figure income
  • Jeff confessed: "Supposedly, in no time at all, I thought I would be making massive amounts of cash and only working a few hours each week."

"I could hardly wait for the avalanche of money to bury me!"

Then Jeff sighed and lamented, "I was buried alright . . . under the cost of these lousy worthless products and a huge waste of time."

He went on to say, "I laid awake at night dreaming of how fantastic it would be to have my own business, that super six-figure income, the new car I always wanted, the respect of my family and friends, and all the money I would ever need for my kids' education."

"I'm not asking for millions, you know - I just want a way to work from home at my leisure and make some additional cash like every one of these programs had promised!"

Well, to make a long story short, Jeff was terribly discouraged and totally confused about finding a way to make some extra money.

He concluded by asking, "What am I doing wrong?"

Have you ever felt that it was your fault that you weren't successful in generating wealth with a "guaranteed system" that was supposed to work for everyone?

Talk about a blow to the self-esteem!

I told Jeff, almost apologizing for his bad experience online: "It's not you, my friend . . . it's the ugly side of e-business that's holding you back!"

    I'll explain what I mean in the next post . . .
